“Growing responsibly for the future.”
The Kisima farm is a large-scale farm that was founded in 1920. The floriculture department started in 2001 and has since expanded to 18 ha of roses in greenhouses and 4 ha of summer flowers focus on Delphinium and Limonium. Every year we produce more than 20 million stems. Kisima Farm is located at an altitude of 2,400 meters, at the foot of Mt Kenya, making it an ideal climate for large-flowered roses. Kisima has more than 250 employees.
Kisima does everything to handle the natural resources in a responsible way. Kisima embraced sustainable environmental practices through anti-pollution policies and agronomic policies for best practices. Kisima is proud of the harvesting of rain water from greenhouses in specially adjacent reservoirs. Recycling irrigation water via the hydroponic system is used in some of the greenhouses.
Kisima supports various international initiatives for sustainable grown roses, such as:
– MPS A+ (MPS Nr. 803904)
– MPS SQ
– KFC Gold
