Sustainability in the ornamental horticulture sector
The demand for sustainable products continues to grow, with consumers demanding transparency about environmentally friendly and socially responsible production. Certifications highlight growers' commitment to sustainability, such as eco-friendly cultivation, good working conditions, and hygiene. In this way, growers meet high standards and contribute to a more sustainable future. Sustainability is not a trend, but an ongoing priority in the ornamental horticulture sector.

Certifications that matter
Our growers work with certifications such as MPS, KFC, and GLOBAL GAP, ensuring environmental responsibility, traceability, and social labor conditions. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and meet the highest standards. They strengthen the trust of exporters and consumers, contributing to a more sustainable future for the ornamental horticulture sector. An overview per grower shows how they contribute to this goal.

Innovation and sustainability go hand in hand
In addition to certifications, Fresco Flowers and its growers are actively involved in innovative sustainability projects. Since 2019, the use of cardboard has been reduced by 90%, and as of October 2024, it has been completely eliminated. We are also working on reducing plastic consumption, such as by using recycled flower film. These initiatives demonstrate that we go beyond just certifications: we aim for a tangible, positive impact on the environment. Together, we are building a future-proof and sustainable ornamental horticulture supply chain.
